The Float Pool RN provides safe nursing care in a timely manner to patients on the Medical Surgical Unit and Intensive Care Units with a high degree of independence.
Performs within the scope of professional nursing practice as defined by the State Board of Nursing.
The Float Pool RN will be required to rotate to both ICU and Medical Surgical Units based on patient census and staffing need. These rotations may be for full or partial shift coverage, and the Float RN may work on multiple units during one complete shift.
Candidates must be willing to cross train to the Family Birth Center and to the Emergency Department. Flexibility to accommodate scheduling needs, and adaptability to changing patient acuity are required.

Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Vermont.
Experience:
Minimum of three years Registered Nurse experience required, with one year Critical Care experience. ACLS Certification is preferred.
