Average Weekly Hours:
Variable Hours, primarily 7p-7a or 11p-7a
Provides safe nursing care in a timely manner to patients on the Family Birth Center unit with a high degree of independence. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age appropriate care utilizing knowledge of the principles of growth and development across the life span. Performs within the scope of professional nursing practice as defined by the State Board of Nursing. Provides professional nursing care within accepted guidelines in obstetrics, women’s health, pediatrics, and neonatology as defined by nationally accredited professional organizations.

Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Vermont.
Experience:
Minimum one year hospital nursing experience, or two years non-hospital nursing experience. Successful completion of FBC floor and nursery orientation and IV certification within 6 months of hire. Previous clinical experience in obstetrical, pediatric and neonatal nursing preferred.
